Be Kind

Play Music

Simple acts of kindness create positive change.

Through outreach programs, volunteer initiatives, and educational campaigns, we strive to empower individuals and organizations to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Together, we aim to build a more caring and inclusive society where every act of kindness ripples outward to create a brighter, more compassionate world for all.

Annual Concert

On 9/21/24, nearly 500 people joined us at the Fox Theatre in Boulder, CO for a special night of music by Mr. Mota and Better Hallway Vision. With amazing energy thanks to awesome music by both bands, we celebrated Ellie and raised funds in her name. Hope to see you all in 2025!

November Kids Kindness Challenge - sponsored by Shield616

Our Kids Kindness Challenge was a huge success! Many kids completed this list of 25 acts of kindness and submitted videos answering the questions, “Which act of kindness do you believe had the biggest impact & why?” A winner was chosen at random who received an awesome kindness themed gift basket donated by SHIELD616!

November 30 Days of Kindness

We posted one act of kindness on Instagram each day in November. We received countless messages of people doing the acts of kindness we suggested as well as others. We are truly humbled by the response!

Ways we impact the community

Kindness Events and Initiatives - We organize and promote events throughout the year, bringing people together to spread kindness and inspire people to go out and make a difference in the world around them. We organize a few in-person gatherings to inspire small doses of kindness and giving activities.

Examples - Showing appreciation to first responders, rock painting, distributing flowers to strangers.

Kindness Grants - Individuals can submit requests for assistance with facilitating acts of kindness. Through these requests, we distribute small grants, financial support or other resources needed to turn a kind idea into action.

Examples - Sponsor a child’s music, art or sports lesson. Help pay for another person’s car repair. Buy a nice lunch for a deserving community member.

Child & Adult Programs - We facilitate programs for kids that are focused on acts of kindness, empathy and compassion, to empower the next generation to become agents of positive change.

Examples - Workshops and assemblies at schools, hands-on activities. Kindness challenges.

Annual Concert in Boulder - We bring local talent and our community together, to enjoy a great evening and celebrate Ellie through one of her favorite things - music.

The Inaugural Be Like Ellie Concert on Sept 21, 2024 at the Fox Theatre was a success. Keep an eye out for details for next year’s concert.

Get To Know Ellie

Ellie was born a protector. She loved and cared for everyone and everything with all of her heart. There wasn't a person who met her who wasn't instantly touched by her thoughtfulness.

At 6 years old, Ellie passed away in a tragic accident, while simply playing in her backyard. The Be Like Ellie Foundation was founded to carry on Ellie's gift of making the world a better place, one simple act of kindness at a time.
